We are a family owned and operated business. Based in our hometown of St. Louis, Mo. Our involvement in various teaching strategies and abstract methods became more than a moment in time when we had a chance to experience the effectiveness and benefits of implementing differential learning styles when we were Home-schooling our own 2 children Darren and Christopher each with 2 totally different learning styles.

I asked my oldest son Darren, 12 at the time to write a multiplication song for his younger brother Christopher 8. We always knew he loved music, Hip-Hop particularly but we were really amazed with the finished product. We were fully unaware at this time that this was the beginning of HipHop-Edu.Com It was obvious that our son had an extreme gift for writing in which he quickly began to expound and build his skills of producing and writing to a professional level.

When he graduated home-school he attended a 2 year accelerated school for computer networking and graduated with 4 additional certifications to advance himself in his field.

Quickly identifying his heart was in producing and effecting change he and his brother started an independent record label and began producing conscious hip-hop music. Becoming frustrated with the negative energy and industry politics, realizing the power in hip-hop music he began to focus on affecting change using educational content embedded with hip-hop beats.

In June 2007, Black Gold Edutainment LLC was born. He began with 3 subjects, his library now includes over 14 music based learning CD's and 2 DVD's.
